1. Role Overview

The Head of Key Clients – Oil & Gas Sector (Hanoi) is a senior management role responsible for leading and developing key and institutional clients within the oil & gas and energy ecosystem. The position oversees client acquisition, relationship management, and business performance, while supporting strategic growth across capital markets and financial services tailored to energy-sector clients.

This role works closely with senior leadership to execute market strategies, expand institutional relationships, and strengthen the firm’s footprint among oil & gas corporations, energy groups, and large investors.

2. Head of Key Clients – Key Responsibilities

2.1 Key Client & Business Management

  • Take full ownership of key and institutional client activities in the Hanoi market.

  • Implement and monitor assigned business targets in line with company strategy.

  • Allocate objectives to team members and supervise execution quality and regulatory compliance.

  • Evaluate and assess team performance in accordance with internal policies.

2.2 Client Strategy & Market Development

  • Develop and execute key client strategies focused on oil & gas and energy-sector enterprises.

  • Expand relationships with institutional investors, corporate clients, and strategic partners.

  • Propose tailored financial solutions and service programs aligned with client needs and risk appetite.

2.3 Internal & External Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve operational and client-related issues.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and energy-sector stakeholders.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.

3. Job Requirements

3.1 Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related disciplines.

  • Securities practicing certificate issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.

3.2 Experience & Professional Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 1 year in a management position.

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, including bonds, equities, advisory, and M&A activities.

  • Solid macroeconomic knowledge, particularly related to the oil & gas and energy sectors.

  • Experience working with financial institutions, investment funds, or energy-related enterprises is preferred.

3.3 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven leadership and people management capability.

  • High integrity, resilience, and ability to perform under pressure.
